It’s Your Wedding Day - Make It A Signature Wedding Have the wedding of your dreams when you plan it right. And getting it right means paying attention to all the details - no matter how small. Of course your gown will be beautiful, your hair wonderfully coiffed and your makeup flawless. But consider such wedding accessories as your bridal garter, your toasting glasses, the guest book and cake topper. These are but a few of the wedding accessories you’ll want to consider. It all starts with a great plan. If you get lost or just know you need help, find an experienced wedding planner. Ask friends who have gotten married who they may have used.

In the beginning, you’ll need to focus on your wedding venue. Most gals opt to get married in their church. But even if this decision is easy, you’ll need to coordinate a date between the church and where you will be holding your reception.

Your reception will be the largest cost of your wedding so shop your locations carefully.  If you want an outdoor wedding reception, be sure to have some tents or other structure for your guests in case of rain.  When it comes to food, a robust offering of appetizers will be much cheaper than a sit down dinner .

Once you secure your locations, it’s time to think about wedding invitations.  Allow plenty of time for your invitations to get printed and get started with this so you can mail out your invitations 6 - 8 weeks before the wedding.  Also feel free to get more creative with your invites.  These days you don’t need to stay with an all white invitation with black lettering.  Many brides now have a design printed on their invitations and others use other inc colors for the wording.  You are only limited by your imagination.

Another ‘to do’ that should be done early is to ask whomever you are desiring to have in your wedding as attendants to be your bridesmaids, maid of honor, groomsmen, ushers and best man.  These folks will need to keep their schedules clear so give them as much advance notice as possible.  And do be sure to get them some great gifts for being in your wedding. Wedding attendant gifts (you know, bridesmaid gifts and groomsmen gifts) need not be terribly expensive - even if personalized.
